The lawmaker representing Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency, Rep. Abass Adigun Agboworin, has commiserated with Oyo State Governor, Engr. ‘Seyi Makinde, over the loss of his eldest brother, Engr. Sunday Makinde.
Agboworin, in a condolence message, signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mayowa Okekale, and made available to journalists in Ibadan, described the deceased as a kind-hearted individual who touched many lives until he left for the world beyond.
The two-term lawmaker, while praying for the repose of the deceased soul, urged God to grant Governor Makinde and his family members the fortitude to bear the loss.
Rep. Agboworin’s condolence visit is part of his efforts to identify with Governor Makinde in his moment of grief.
Agboworin has always maintained a cordial relationship with the governor, and this gesture further underscores their good working relationship.
The statement read, “My dear governor and Principal, I am deeply saddened by the news of your brother’s passing.
“The news came to me as a rude shock. Please, accept my heartfelt condolences. We will surely miss him but we take solace in the fact that he lived a good life and touched the hearts of many.
“I remember the countless times that he had reached out to help those in need, and the many lives that he had touched through his kindness and generosity.
“Engr. Sunday Makinde, who was widely respected for his kindness and generosity, had left an indelible mark on the hearts of many.
“Your Excellency, may God grant your family the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
