Lawmaker representing Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency, on Saturday, commended the peaceful conduct of the ongoing bye-election in the state.

The two-term lawmaker, who is also the Chairman of the House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, toured several polling units in wards 8 and 10 in Sango, Ajibade, Bodija, Oba Akinbiyi, Ijokodo, Apete areas to supervise the election process.
The lawmaker was out to actively observe firsthand the atmosphere and adherence to electoral guidelines, commending the orderliness and peace that have characterised the voting process so far.

According to him, the process has been peaceful, urging those who are yet to vote for the PDP candidate to come out en masse to exercise their voting right.


He said, “I want to commend the voting process because everything has been peaceful. It will be a good thing if every election, generally in Nigeria, is conducted in this manner.
“Some have voted and I want to urge more members of our party, PDP, to come out and vote for our candidate, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, DON. No report of intimidation or vote buying, and that is a good thing to witness.”
The lawmaker is officially on a supervisory mission as mandated by the party.
