The lawmaker representing Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency, Rep. Abass Adigun (Agboworin), has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Ambassador Ibironke Adefope, a former Nigeria’s High Commissioner to Zambia and esteemed member of the Oyo State Elders’ Council.

 

Agboworin, who in a statement made available by his Media Group in Ibadan, described her death as a huge loss to Oyo State and the country at large, noted that her legacy would continue to inspire future generations.

 

Amb. Adefope’s passing has sent shockwaves throughout the state, with many paying tribute to her remarkable life and legacy.

 

While praising her for living a great and enviable life, marked by dedication, service, and commitment to the nation, the lawmaker noted that her life was a testament to her passion for public service and her commitment to making a difference.

 

The statement read, “The death of Mama Adefope was shocking and sad. She lived a great and enviable life, and her contributions to our nation will never be forgotten.

 

“Her life was a testament to her passion for public service and her commitment to making a difference.
