The Federal Lawmaker representing Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency, Rep. Abbas Adigun (Agboworin), has commended the leadership of National Chairman, Dr. Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, on regaining control of the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, in Abuja, after few moment of factional clash.

He similarly lauded the courage of Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, National Secretary, Taofeek Arapaja, and the Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum, Senator Bala Mohammed, for standing up for what is right in the face of the heated clash.
In a statement signed by his Media Group on Tuesday, the two-term lawmaker condemned the expelled faction aligned with Nyesom Wike, minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), having stormed the secretariat with hired thugs to block the lawful meeting of the new national working committee (NWC).

The statement read, “I want to use this medium to salute the courage and resolve of our new National Chairman in the People’s Democratic Party, Dr. Kabiru Tanimu Turaki; my Principal and the Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Seyi Makinde; National Secretary, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja and Senator Bala Mohammed, for standing up for what is right and regaining control of our party’s secretariat.


“I commend the swift action taken by the National Chairman and his team in restoring order and discipline within the party.
“I also appreciate the support and solidarity of our members and stakeholders, which has been instrumental in this achievement.”
“I believe the new leadership would continue to put our house in order and focus on rebuilding and strengthening our party for future electoral successes.”
