The uniqueness of a good parliamentarian at all levels of governance is to have the ability to display great inclusivity and representation that go beyond mendacity and ‘Amala politics’ of the archaic political style.
There is no gainsaying the fact that Agboworin’s display of classical representation is top notch, which has been tested and trusted by political watchers and the people.
Understanding the importance of wealth creation in contemporary days, Agboworin does not joke with being financially independent and not becoming a burden to the society.
We have seen that through the mega empowerment of adults, women and artisans of different fields in his constituency – Ibadan South East/North East, which is an indication of service to humanity.
There was yet another exercise recently involving 40 markets in his constituency, where the stakeholders and petty traders were supported with cash to boost their businesses.
As a constituent who has been following his activities, I can authoritatively say that, in the last five years of his representation in the House of Representatives, Agboworin has trained and empowered over four thousand constituents with a lot of money-making items ranging from sewing machines, grinding machines, cooking gas, generators, baking equipment, to mention but a few.
These beneficiaries got cash grants to support their businesses and create wealth for themselves. That’s how a good leader does.
Apart from that, another good thing you will love about Agboworin is the priority he places on health welfarism of his constituents.
How do I mean? He initiated the idea of ‘Mobile Clinic’ in his constituency, which has never been in existence before.
To this effect, he facilitated the purchase of two Ambulance buses – one for each local government under his constituency. And to the best of my knowledge, he is the only lawmaker in Oyo State, who is expending his resources on such initiative.
The idea is carried out with medical outreaches, distribution of drugs, optical materials and other medical items to aged persons and those in need.
Agboworin’s ardent commitment to better the lot of his constituents and his unprecedented contribution to economic development of his federal constituency has, rapidly, transformed the business levels of the people.
He has facilitated a number of road constructions, rehabilitation of local roads to alleviate the suffering of commuters, motorists and communities. Few of the rehabilitated roads include Alake, Ode-Ige, Odinjo/Sodun.
Very soon, he would be commissioning a road construction project worth N1bn; the 1.6km Kajola-Irede-Odinjo-Alake-Sodun junction road project.
Let me add that, equally, his passion for education can be compared with the great thinkers like socrate, plato and aristotle as his commitment towards the sector is worthy of emulation. He values education, no doubt.
The distribution of educational materials to students from about 40 schools, who are less privileged earlier this year, really attracted a lot of commendations. He distributed thousands of text books and school bags across the Primary and Secondary Schools in his federal constituency.
It obviously appears that Agboworin is the only Rep member who has organized free tutorials for JAMB students and also bougth JAMB forms for them which include scholarships for the best ones among them.
From the records, Agboworin, in the last five years, has secured federal jobs for 20 constituents in the Nigerian Air Force; 1 in the Nigerian Army; 1 in the Nigeria Navy and others in the Federal Civil Service respectively.
His accomplishments are far from artifice and fabrication but exclusively based on facts and figures. Attainment of Agboworin’s political rank beyond jamboree or ‘jambalaya’ that serves like food.
It requires resilience, commitment, tolerance, fervid determination and passion. What a portrait of performance at a glance.
