The executive chairman of Ido local government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has congratulated Oyo state deputy governor, Barrister Abdulraheem Adebayo Adeleke Lawal, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a reliable, hardworking, supportive, and committed partner of governor Seyi Makinde.

In a congratulatory statement issued on Monday, the council chairman also referred to Bayo Lawal as a politician with dignity and special love for Oyo state.

Adeojo noted that the cordial relationship between Governor Seyi Makinde and his deputy had contributed to good governance and the delivery of democratic dividends to Oyo state residents over the past years.

“On behalf of my family and the people of Ido local government, I celebrate our father, a resilient and political icon,, on his birthday.

Barrister Bayo Lawal is a genius, an exemplary administrator, a seasoned technocrat, and a politician who has been using his long experience to support the state governor.
“The deputy governor’s birthday is worth celebrating because of his immeasurable contributions to Oke-Ogun zone and Oyo State, having passionately served in various private and public offices.
As Bar. Lawal continues his septuagenarian journey; I pray that God will grant him good health, enabling him to provide more services to humanity and Oyo State,” Adeojo said.
Barrister, Bayo Lawal served as Oyo State Commissioner of Justice between 1999–2003, during the administration of late governor Lamidi Adesina.
He also served as Chairman of Oyo State Housing Corporation during the first term of Governor Makinde and is currently deputy governor, having assumed office on 18 July 2022 following the impeachment of his predecessor, Rauf Olaniyan.
He was born on 14 April 1954
