The Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke has formally inaugurated the Health Advisory Committee in a strategic move to reposition and strengthen healthcare services across the council area.

The inauguration ceremony which took place at the Chairman’s Office within the Local Government Secretariat marked a significant step toward reinforcing institutional structures aimed at improving primary healthcare administration and community health outcomes.
In his address, Hon. Adeleke charged members of the committee to discharge their duties with dedication, transparency and a deep sense of responsibility. He emphasised that quality healthcare remains a cornerstone of sustainable development, stressing that no meaningful progress can be achieved without a healthy population.

The Chairman explained that the establishment of the advisory committee is intended to enhance collaboration between policymakers, medical professionals and community stakeholders. He urged members to provide informed guidance, ensure effective supervision of health programmes and recommend practical solutions to emerging healthcare challenges within Ibarapa Central.

Hon. Adeleke expressed confidence in the wealth of experience and technical competence of the committee members, noting that their collective expertise would play a vital role in policy advisory, monitoring, evaluation and overall improvement of health services in the local government.
He further reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening maternal and child healthcare, promoting disease prevention initiatives, and ensuring that primary health centres operate efficiently to meet the needs of residents.
The inauguration of the Health Advisory Committee reflects the determination of the Ibarapa Central Local Government to institutionalise effective healthcare governance and deliver responsive, people-focused service to the grassroots.
