Ibadan, Nigeria – July 29, 2025

In a bold and visionary move, the Executive Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Honourable Taiwo Lekan-Salami, has unveiled a strategic roadmap aimed at restoring the club’s glory, strengthening its operations, and rekindling the trust of its loyal fans. Under the theme “A Vision for a Stronger 3SC,” the Chairman laid out a comprehensive agenda that prioritizes transparency, sustainability, grassroots development, and corporate partnerships — all rooted in the spirit of true reform.
Restructuring as a Foundation for Growth

The current administration at 3SC has taken the crucial first step toward transformation by embarking on deep restructuring. This includes the overhaul of key departments such as the technical crew, management, and media teams. Hon. Salami described this move not as a purge, but as a necessary reengineering designed to reposition the club for excellence.

> “We can no longer run a professional football club with sentiments or business-as-usual attitude. It’s time to rebuild on a solid foundation,” he stated.

Restoring Trust Through Transparency
A key pillar of the new vision is transparency — both in operations and communications. The Chairman emphasized that fans deserve to know how the club is run, how decisions are made, and where resources are being allocated.

> “We want a 3SC that belongs to the people, a club where fans can see honesty in action, and where accountability is the watchword,” Hon. Salami noted.
He also hinted at periodic stakeholder forums, where supporters, legends, and community leaders can contribute ideas and evaluate the progress of the club.
Sustainability and Youth Development
Hon. Salami’s long-term vision includes the establishment of a self-sustaining club model — one that does not rely solely on government funding but generates revenue through innovative structures, merchandise, and partnerships.
A cornerstone of that sustainability plan is investment in youth and grassroots football.
> “We are going back to the roots. The future 3SC legends are in our schools and communities right now. We must scout, nurture, and develop them,” he said.
Plans are underway to revive the club’s academy structure and establish formal links with secondary schools and local football hubs across Oyo State.
Building Strategic Partnerships and Sponsorships
The Chairman also stressed the importance of attracting and maintaining solid corporate sponsorships and media visibility to boost the club’s brand image.
> “We are opening our doors to sponsors who believe in the dream of a bigger, better, and cleaner 3SC. The Shooting Stars brand must become one that adds value, on and off the pitch,” he affirmed.
A new marketing and branding team has been tasked with driving this agenda forward, with early signs pointing to promising negotiations with both national and international stakeholders.
A Club Fans Can Believe In
The overall goal of this mission is to restore 3SC’s status not just as a historic club, but as a modern, professionally-run football powerhouse.
> “We owe it to the legacy of past heroes, and we owe it to the fans. We must build a 3SC that commands respect, delivers results, and operates with integrity,” the Chairman concluded.
With passion, courage, and a roadmap built on principle, Hon. Taiwo Lekan-Salami’s administration is sending a clear message: Shooting Stars SC is rising again — stronger, smarter, and ready for the future.
