Ona Ara Local Government Chairman, Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS, has extended heartfelt congratulations to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, on the occasion of his 90th birthday.
In a statement released on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Rahmon Alawode, Dr. GLORIOUS described the Olubadan as a unifying figure and an extraordinary monarch whose reign continues to exemplify wisdom, peace, and cultural preservation.
The Chairman noted that since ascending the throne at age 89, Oba Olakulehin has demonstrated remarkable leadership, deep wisdom, and unwavering dedication to the cultural heritage and traditional values of the Yoruba people, especially in the historic city of Ibadan — the largest indigenous city in West Africa.
“His Imperial Majesty remains a passionate advocate for religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence, a rare gem whose presence commands respect across divides,” the statement read.
Dr. GLORIOUS further lauded the monarch’s enduring contributions to the unity of Ibadanland and his role in upholding the customs and values that define the Yoruba identity.
“As the Olubadan marks this glorious milestone, I join millions of well-wishers to celebrate his life of impact and legacy. I offer prayers for his continued good health, strength, and wisdom as he leads the people of Ibadan with grace and honour,” the statement concluded.
