Hon. Olufunke Comforter, the shining star of Ibadan North Constituency 1, has been illuminating the path to progress with her tireless efforts and unwavering commitment to her constituents. As a member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, she has demonstrated remarkable leadership and a deep understanding of the needs of her people.

A PROVEN TRACK RECORD

With a wealth of experience dating back to the dawn of the Fourth Republic in 1999, Hon. Comforter has navigated the complex corridors of power with ease. Her impressive background has equipped her with the necessary skills to tackle the challenges of lawmaking and constituency service with aplomb. As one of the two female members of the assembly, she has broken down barriers and inspired countless individuals with her dedication and passion.

CONSTITUENCY OFFICE AND FOUNDATION TO MARK 100 DAYS IN OFFICE

On October 4, 2023, to mark her 100 Days in Office, Hon. Comforter inaugurated her constituency office in Yemetu, Ibadan North Local Government, marking a significant milestone in her representation. The office serves as a hub for her initiatives, including the Olufunke Comforter Foundation, which aims to empower and support her constituents.
* Through this foundation, she has [empowered hundreds of constituents with skill training and certification programs].
* In addition to that, she gave Cash Empowerment to more than 100 Individuals (20,000 NGN and Above).
* More than 10 People were given Letters of Appointment to Various Departments from the Office of the Honourable.
* Pregnant and Nursing Mothers were empowered with cash, clothes and other materials to ease livelihood for them
* Donated Wheelchairs to the Disability Community

EMPOWERMENT AND SKILL ACQUISITION

The Olufunke Comforter Foundation has been instrumental in equipping constituents with the necessary skills to start their own businesses. With certified facilitators, the training sessions have been a resounding success, enabling participants to become self-sufficient and improve their livelihoods.

SUPPORT DURING FESTIVE PERIODS

Hon. Comforter is committed to ensuring that her constituents have a joyful festive period, regardless of their religious background. She provides support, palliatives, and other forms of assistance to leaders, stakeholders, and members of the constituency, demonstrating her dedication to their well-being.

SYNERGY WITH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND PARTY LEADERS

Hon. Comforter has formed a good synergy with the Local Government Chairman, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade ONALA, and the Member representing Ibadan North Constituency 2, Hon. Adebayo Babajide Gabriel (JAGABAN). She works closely with the party leaders in each ward, recognizing the chairmen and other principal officers Including the Councillors, as leaders of their respective wards.

PROJECTS AND INITIATIVES

Hon. Comforter has commissioned several projects in her constituency, including:
– Renovation of Boreholes Standard State: A much-needed renovation of this iconic Borehole in Ward 1, Ward 4 (before her election) and Ward 5
– Electric Transformer: Contributing ₦800,000 to fix the electric transformer in Ward 2 and building the fence to the facility
– Security House: Building a security house in Ward 5, which is almost complete.
– Medical Support: Contributing to numerous surgeries, medical and emergency expenses for constituents.
– Facilitates Good Jobs: She used her influence to help secure jobs into Ministries and Boards like SUBEB, TESCOM, OYRTMA, Ministry of Environment, Hospital Management Board, Primary Health Care center and other ministries.
– Facilitates Car Loans for Oyo State Staff who are due
– Light Up Oyo Project: She keys into the Light Up Oyo Project by providing hundreds of Streetlights to brighten up Ibadan North Constituency 1
– Runs an Inclusive Government: She has high stake and contribution in the Disability Community and even has PWD as top Staff, towing the path Her Principal, His Excellency, Gov. Seyi Makinde
– HER PRIMARY ASSIGNMENT: Sponsors Numerous Bills on the Floor of the Oyo State House of Assembly, (under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly), which have been enacted into Laws by His Excellency, Gov. Seyi Makinde.
