In a bold move, Nigerian singer Eedris Abdulkareem has taken aim at Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the senior pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, for his perceived silence on the prevailing hardship in the country.

In his newly released satirical song titled ‘Emilokan’, Eedris accuses Adeboye of hypocrisy, pointing out the stark contrast in the pastor’s vocal criticism during Goodluck Jonathan’s administration compared to his silence under the current leadership of President Bola Tinubu.

Eedris emphasizes the need for Adeboye to use his influential platform to address the challenges faced by Nigerians, particularly amidst hunger and hardship. He calls for a protest against Tinubu’s government, urging Adeboye to mobilize his followers just as he did in the past.

The singer also highlights the plight of Nigerians under the current administration, symbolically linking Tinubu’s electoral campaign slogan “Emi Lokan” to the widespread hunger experienced by the populace, turning it into “Ebi Lokan” (It’s hunger’s turn).

Additionally, Eedris Abdulkareem addresses the issue of minimum wage demands, suggesting that senators and house of Representative members should receive a significantly reduced salary to align with the suffering of the general population.

This daring critique by Eedris sparks a conversation about the responsibilities of influential figures in speaking out against societal issues and advocating for change in the face of adversity.
