The Presidential Candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM), Engr. Seyi Makinde, on Thursday held the South-East Town Hall Meeting of the party in Enugu State.
The meeting, which was held at, brought together party leaders, stakeholders, youth groups, women leaders, artisans and traders from across the five South-Eastern states of Enugu, Anambra, Imo, Abia and Ebonyi.[Venue]
In his remarks, Makinde said the engagement was part of the APM’s nationwide listening tour designed to ensure that Nigerians own the party’s blueprint for national renewal.
According to him, the challenges confronting the South-East and the country at large, particularly youth unemployment and the steady decline of manufacturing and industrial capacity, are central to the Reset Agenda of the APM.

“Our challenges, including youth unemployment and the decline of manufacturing, are issues which our Reset Agenda addresses. We have listened and we have taken notes,” Makinde said.
The Oyo State Governor and APM Presidential Candidate assured the gathering that, as promised, the party will formally unveil the Reset Agenda on 4th November, 2026.
Makinde explained that just like it did during the South-West leg in Oyo State, the party has taken feedback from all zones and the contributions are being incorporated into the final document to make it truly national, inclusive and people-driven.
He noted that the South-East, known historically as a hub for commerce, industry and innovation, has suffered greatly from policy inconsistency and infrastructure decay, leading to the collapse of many manufacturing concerns and the migration of talents.
“The South-East should be powering Nigeria’s industrial revolution. Our Reset Agenda will focus on reviving manufacturing, supporting SMEs, fixing power, and creating an ecosystem where our young people can find jobs and create jobs,” he added.
Participants at the Town Hall took turns to raise issues bordering on insecurity, poor road infrastructure, lack of access to credit for small businesses, and the need for devolution of powers.
Makinde assured that all concerns raised will be reflected in the Reset Agenda.
The Town Hall Meeting ended on an optimistic note, with stakeholders pledging support for the APM’s vision for a new Nigeria.
