Kolawole Shehu Adedeji, has expressed confidence in the party’s chances of victory in the 2027 general elections, urging members to embrace unity and intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the polls.
Shehu made the declaration on Saturday during the party’s reconciliation meeting in Ibarapa, where he received a rousing welcome from party faithful and reiterated his commitment to strengthening the party’s presence across the constituency.
Speaking at the gathering, the APM House of Representatives hopeful said the party remained ahead of its political opponents, attributing his optimism to its grassroots engagement and continued efforts to support residents across Ido and Ibarapa East.
He disclosed that he had facilitated development initiatives in more than 300 communities across the federal constituency, including the installation of streetlights and the grading of rural roads to improve security, ease transportation and enhance the living conditions of residents.

“We are ahead of opposition members. We have been on the streets and everywhere, campaigning and supporting our people in all ways. I appeal to everyone to come out en masse and ensure APM candidates are elected in the forthcoming election,” Shehu said.
The APM candidate expressed optimism that the ongoing reconciliation initiative would strengthen internal cohesion, consolidate the party’s support base and improve its electoral prospects ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He called on party leaders, members and supporters to put aside their differences, embrace unity and remain committed to the party’s vision of sustainable development across Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency and Oyo State at large.
The reconciliation meeting was led by the Oyo State Deputy Governor, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, and attended by prominent party stakeholders, including the APM governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, alongside other candidates, party leaders and members from across the zone.
Addressing party faithful, Lawal commended Shehu for his extensive grassroots network and contributions to strengthening the APM’s political structure in the zone.
The Deputy Governor also expressed confidence in the party’s chances in the forthcoming elections, assuring members that the APM would emerge victorious in the 2027 general elections.
The meeting formed part of the party’s ongoing efforts to promote reconciliation among stakeholders, resolve internal disagreements and strengthen its organisational structures ahead of the 2027 polls.
Party leaders expressed hope that the renewed commitment to unity and grassroots mobilisation would position the APM for a stronger electoral performance across Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency and other parts of Oyo State.
