Our attention has been drawn to the sponsored, malicious and infantile campaign of calumny targeted at the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE and the Executive Chairman of Iwajowa Local Government, Hon. Oyewumi Muritala Abiodun (Natural), orchestrated by the shameless, rejected and jobless opposition in Iwajowa.
We consider it not only an attack on two performing leaders but an insult on the collective intelligence of the good people of Iwajowa who see, feel and benefit from good governance daily.
Unfortunately, the opposition in Iwajowa Local Government has now exposed their bankruptcy of ideas and total rejection at home. In their desperation, they went outside Oke-Ogun zone to hire a bastard to be attacking our young and performing Local Government Chairman in the history of the Council. What a shame.
Instead of facing the people of Iwajowa whose mandate they lost woefully, they now rent external mercenaries and emergency activists who know nothing about our land to write sponsored nonsense. Iwajowa people are wiser.

GOVERNOR SEYI MAKINDE: A LEADER WHO LOVES THE MASSES
To understand the transformation in Iwajowa, you must first understand the heart of the Governor.
Governor Seyi Makinde is not a leader who governs from Agodi Government House alone; he governs from the streets, the markets, the farms and the hearts of the people. His love for the masses is not audio, it is visible, practical and impactful.
It is this people-first leadership and fatherly support of Governor Makinde that has empowered Local Governments like Iwajowa to thrive and deliver dividends of democracy to the grassroots.
IWAJOWA HAS NEVER HAD IT SO GOOD – 29 MONTHS OF UNMATCHED LEGACY UNDER HON. MURITALA ABIODUN OYEWUMI
While the opposition is in beer parlours sharing expired lies sponsored with stipends, Hon. Muritala Natural is on the field, translating Governor Makinde’s Omituntun 2.0 Sustainable Development Agenda into legacy projects that will outlive this generation.

OUR CHALLENGE TO THE OPPOSITION:
We throw an open challenge. Let any opposition former Chairman including the immediate past chairman of Iwajowa Local Government in the 30year history of Iwajowa come out with ONE verifiable record that matches Hon. Muritala’s 29 months, A Police Station, Two Renovated PHCs with Staff Quarters, Obas Council Building, Solar Lights for 4 Police Divisions, 25 Scholarships, and an International MoU achieved under the purposeful leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde?
You cannot. Your records are empty boreholes, abandoned culverts, unpaid salaries and audio projects.
We call on all well-meaning sons and daughters of Iwajowa, our Royal Fathers, Stakeholders, Market Women, Youths and Farmers to disregard this sponsored calumny. It is the last kick of a dying horse that has seen that Iwajowa is fully in safe hands.
Hon. Muritala will not be distracted. Under the leadership of His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, the work continues and Iwajowa will have more.
