…As Group inaugurates state, local government executives, targets 500,000 members by year-end.
The City Boy Movement in Oyo State says it is targeting over one million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections through grassroots mobilisation across the state’s 33 local government areas.
The State Director of the movement, Hon. Olufemi Onireti, stated this through the Director of Contact and Mobilisation, Olumide Alli, at the official inauguration of the movement’s executives and a town hall meeting held at Jogor Centre, Ring-road, Ibadan.
Alli said the movement had inaugurated its state executives and local government coordinators, with plans to extend its mobilisation activities to wards and polling units across the state.

He urged members to educate residents about the policies, projects and achievements of President Tinubu’s administration, expressing confidence that sustained grassroots engagement would boost support for the President’s re-election and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in 2027.
Alli disclosed that the movement had recorded 256,000 verified members in Oyo State, expressing optimism that the figure would rise to 500,000 before the end of the year.
He also called on other support groups to join the movement’s platform to strengthen its mobilisation efforts.
Also speaking, the Director of Creative and Culture of the movement in Oyo State, Alawode Ariyike-Ade, called on creative professionals, including entertainers, artisans and media practitioners, to support the initiative.
She described the movement as a platform for young people and members of the creative community to collaborate, urging them to unite and contribute to its objectives ahead of the 2027 elections.
