Today is more than just another birthday; it is a celebration of life, survival, gratitude, and the immeasurable mercy of Almighty Allah.
This is my first birthday since the painful experience of my abduction—a period marked by unimaginable pain, fear, sadness, uncertainty, and moments when hope seemed almost lost. It was a chapter of my life I never prayed to experience. Yet, by the infinite mercy and grace of Almighty Allah, I am alive today and blessed with another opportunity to celebrate life.
Throughout that difficult period, I witnessed the extraordinary power of love, prayers, kindness, and genuine support from my family, friends, political associates, religious leaders, and everyone who stood by me in one way or another. Your sacrifices, generosity, encouragement, and heartfelt prayers meant more to me than words can adequately express. I will forever remain grateful to you all.
Amid the different narratives, rumours, assumptions, and opinions surrounding my experience, I choose to focus on what matters most: Almighty Allah preserved my life and gave me another chance to live, love, grow, and fulfil my purpose.
Today, I am not celebrating because the journey was easy, but because Allah gave me the strength to endure the difficult moments and the grace to witness another year. My heart is filled with gratitude to everyone who stood by me when life became most challenging.
As I mark this new chapter, I pray that Almighty Allah rewards you all abundantly, protects your families, grants you long life in good health, and shields you from every form of danger and sorrow. May none of you experience such a painful ordeal, and may the days ahead be filled with peace, happiness, and abundant blessings.
Alhamdulillah for the gift of life, the blessing of another year, and the grace to witness this special day.
