Falana Congratulates Wolekanle on Appointment as Oyo Chief of Staff

The Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana, has congratulated Hon. Akinwale Akinwole Wolekanle on his appointment as the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde.

Falana described the appointment as a recognition of Wolekanle’s experience in public service, administrative background and contributions to governance in Oyo State. The appointment, announced on Monday, October 12, 2026, takes immediate effect.

In his congratulatory message, the AYD chairman expressed confidence that Wolekanle’s experience in public administration and understanding of grassroots governance would be valuable in his new role. He noted that the position of Chief of Staff requires effective coordination, sound judgment and a strong commitment to supporting the governor in the implementation of government policies and programmes.

Falana further acknowledged Wolekanle’s previous service as Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, a position through which he was involved in matters relating to local government administration and the state’s public service system.

He said Wolekanle’s appointment presents another opportunity to contribute to the development of Oyo State and strengthen the delivery of governance to the people.

Falana wished the newly appointed Chief of Staff a successful and impactful tenure, expressing the hope that his service would further advance the administration’s development agenda and promote effective collaboration among government institutions.
