In a bid to ease water challenges faced by residents of his constituency, the APM candidate for Ibadan South West State Constituency, Honourable Akinsete Olakunle, has facilitated the repair of a faulty community borehole to restore prompt water supply to parts of the constituency.
The borehole, which had been out of use for some time due to technical faults, was restored following the intervention of Hon. Akinsete, bringing relief to residents who had been grappling with water scarcity.
Hon. Akinsete commended the initiator of the project, Honourable Fowokanmi, who originally dug the borehole for the benefit of the community.
He lauded Hon. Fowokanmi’s foresight and commitment to grassroots development, noting that such community-driven projects remain vital to improving the living conditions of the people.


Hon. Akinsete, while addressing community residents, charged them to make judicious use of the facility and ensure proper maintenance culture so that it can serve the community for a longer period.
According to him, “This borehole was provided for the good of everyone. I want to appreciate Honourable Fowokanmi who dug this borehole for this community. It is a commendable effort that deserves recognition. Now that it has been repaired, I urge all residents to use it judiciously and protect it so it can last longer and continue to serve us all.”
Residents of the community expressed gratitude to Hon. Akinsete for his timely intervention, describing the gesture as a sign of responsive and people-oriented representation.
They also prayed for the success of his aspiration and promised to maintain the facility as advised.
The repair of the borehole is part of Hon. Akinsete’s community aid initiatives aimed at addressing basic needs and improving the welfare of people at the grassroots in Ibadan South West.
