The Ibadan Patriotic Group has felicitated with the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Sen.) Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, on the occasion of his 82nd birthday and first anniversary on the throne.
In a congratulatory message, the group, led by Mogaji Akande Azeez Bashiru, described the Olubadan as a highly respected traditional ruler whose wealth of experience, wisdom and contributions to the development of Ibadanland continue to inspire the people.
The group commended Oba Ladoja for his leadership and commitment to the peace, unity and progress of Ibadanland, noting that his extensive experience in public service and community affairs has continued to enrich his role as the traditional father of the ancient city.
According to the group, the Olubadan’s first year on the throne has further demonstrated the importance of experienced and widely respected leadership in preserving the cultural heritage, values and unity of Ibadanland.
The Ibadan Patriotic Group prayed for the monarch to enjoy many more years in good health, wisdom and strength, while wishing him continued success in the service of Ibadanland and its people.
The group also congratulated members of the Olubadan-in-Council, traditional institutions and the entire people of Ibadanland on the monarch’s 82nd birthday and first anniversary on the throne.
