Ibarapakan Begins Final Furnishing of Newly Reconstructed Igangan Town Hall, Set for Commissioning

Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has commenced the final furnishing of the newly reconstructed Igangan Town Hall, another step towards making the landmark community facility fully functional and ready for public use.

The provision of chairs for the hall commenced on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in the presence of community leaders and other stakeholders in Igangan. The development marks yet another significant stage in the completion of the project, which was facilitated by the federal lawmaker as part of efforts to provide the people with a modern and conducive facility for community meetings, social engagements, public programmes and other important activities.

Speaking on the development, Hon. Adepoju explained that providing the necessary furniture and other facilities was important to ensure that the hall does not merely remain a beautifully reconstructed structure, but serves its intended purpose effectively. He noted that attention was being given to the essential items required to make the facility comfortable, functional and suitable for the various activities for which it would be used.

The Ibarapa-born technocrat cum politician said the reconstruction of the town hall was driven by the need to restore an important community asset and give the people of Igangan a facility that reflects the importance of the community. Beyond the physical structure, he stressed the importance of equipping the hall with the necessary materials so that residents can derive maximum value from the project.

The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character, who also doubles as the candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) for Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, disclosed that the date for the official commissioning of the state-of-the-art Igangan Town Hall would be communicated soon. According to him, the facility would serve as more than just a gathering centre, providing the people with an avenue to come together, discuss other needs and collectively identify other areas where further development is required in the community.
