ALH. KAMORUDEEN, ALH. AKEEM: TWO GREAT GIANTS WHO SHARE SAME BIRTHDAY, SAME FOOTBALL CLUB, AND SAME CONTENT OF CHARACTER

And so, on this particular morning, the calendar turns, as it always does, to a date that means something more than most. For today, two great men, born on the very same birthday, walk once more into another year of their lives.

Alhaji Akeem Azeez. Trusted hand, quiet strength, the man who stands close to power yet never loses the common touch; Personal Assistant to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde. And Alhaji Mudashiru Kamorudeen, Executive Chairman of Lagelu LG, a leader of his own people, carrying his own weight, and walking his own road.

These two not only share the same birthday, they both support the same football clubs. The same pair of jerseys, too, when Anfield sings; for both of them, it turns out, bleed Liverpool. And when the talk turns local, when the story turns to home, both are found cheering for the same Shooting Stars, that famous blue and white jersey team in Ibadan.

And even in the content of their characters, these two giants have everything in common in the way they live, how they treat others, and how ultimately they make themselves available for anybody who may seriously be in need. Ask around, and you will hear the same words used for both men: warm, generous, dependable, present. The kind of men who answer the phone when others may find it uncomfortable. The kind who show up, not for the cameras, but for the cause. The kind whose doors, somehow, are always open to whoever needs them.

And so today, we do not merely mark a date. We celebrate these two giants for everything that they share in common and stand for. Certainly, these two great men deserve nothing less than our hearty congratulations on their best day.
