Mosque Leadership Commends APM Oyo South Senatorial Candidate for Community Support
The Executive Committee and entire Muslim Ummah of Ago Ebira Central Mosque, Mokola, Ibadan, have expressed appreciation to the Oyo South Senatorial Candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM), Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide Odidiomo, for his ₦10 million donation towards the ongoing reconstruction of the mosque.
The ₦10 million intervention is the latest in a series of support extended by Odidiomo to communities and faith-based organisations across the Oyo South Senatorial District.
In a letter of appreciation dated August 10, 2026, the mosque leadership described the donation as generous and significant to the completion of the reconstruction project, praying that Allah would richly reward Odidiomo for his contribution and various efforts in the service of Allah and humanity.
The appreciation followed Odidiomo’s visit to the mosque, where he joined the Muslim Ummah for the Friday Jumu’ah prayer and addressed the congregation on the importance of peace, unity and responsible leadership.

The federal lawmaker, who represents Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency of Oyo State in the House of Representatives, appealed to worshippers to continue praying for political leaders at all levels.
According to him, the political class requires divine guidance, wisdom and the fear of God to effectively discharge its responsibilities to the people.
Odidiomo also reiterated his commitment to supporting community projects capable of improving the welfare and living conditions of residents across the constituency and the Oyo South Senatorial District.
The mosque leadership, in the letter signed by its Chairman, Mr. Musa Haruna, and General Secretary, Surv. AbdulRaheem, prayed that Allah would accept Odidiomo’s contribution as an act of Ibadah and bless his endeavours.
The community also invoked the Qur’anic teachings on charity and divine reward, stressing that contributions made in the service of Allah and humanity would not go unrewarded.
According to the mosque leadership, the donation would further support efforts to provide a befitting place of worship for residents of Ago Ebira, Mokola, and adjoining communities.
Earlier, renowned Islamic scholar, Prof. Daud Amao Alaga, who welcomed Odidiomo to the mosque, commended the lawmaker for his longstanding commitment to religious harmony and his identification with the developmental needs of communities.
Alaga described the intervention as another indication of Odidiomo’s consistent engagement with religious institutions and the wider community.
He noted that initiatives of this nature could promote peaceful coexistence, strengthen community relations and foster closer bonds among people of different backgrounds.
The Islamic scholar also urged other political leaders and well-meaning Nigerians to emulate initiatives that contribute meaningfully to community development, religious harmony and the welfare of the people.
