The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for the Irepo/Oorelope/Olorunsogo Federal Constituency, Okunrin Jeje Abiodun Oni, has described the successful rescue of the abducted schoolchildren and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area as a great relief to residents and the people of Oyo State.
In a statement made available to journalists, Oni said the safe return of the victims has restored hope and renewed public confidence, noting that the abduction had created widespread anxiety and concern across the state.
He commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property, stating that the successful rescue further demonstrated the effectiveness of the state government’s security architecture and its sustained investment in intelligence gathering and inter-agency collaboration.
According to the APM House of Representatives candidate, the outcome of the rescue operation is clear evidence that the governor’s efforts and policies aimed at strengthening security are producing positive results.

Oni also praised the professionalism, courage, and dedication displayed by the various security agencies involved in the operation, alongside local security outfits and other stakeholders who worked tirelessly to secure the safe release of the abducted pupils and teachers.
He urged residents to continue supporting security agencies by providing timely and credible information that could help prevent criminal activities, stressing that security remains a collective responsibility.
The APM chieftain from Igbeti expressed gratitude to God for the safe rescue of the victims and prayed for sustained peace, safety, and security across Oriire Local Government Area and Oyo State at large.
