Hon Sanda Sikiru Oyedele Inducted into Egbe Omo Ajorosun, Pledges Commitment to Preserving Ibadan Heritage

The Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele (Lajue), has been formally inducted into the prestigious Egbe Omo Ajorosun of Ibadan**, a socio-cultural body dedicated to preserving the rich history, values, customs, and identity of Ibadanland.

The induction ceremony brought together eminent sons and daughters of Ibadan who are committed to promoting the city’s cultural heritage, unity, and development. Egbe Omo Ajorosun derives its inspiration from the famous Ibadan cognomen, “Ibadan Omo Ajorosun,” which reflects the resilience and survival of the early settlers who found refuge and sustenance on the hills after periods of conflict. The phrase has since become a symbol of the courage, industry, and enduring spirit that define the people of Ibadan.
