Eid-el-Adha: Hon. Comforter Felicitates Muslims, Distributes Rams, Food Items, Seeks Prayers for Security, Oriire Abductees’ Release

Hon. Olufunke Comforter Adeniji Olajide, the lawmaker representing Ibadan North Constituency 1 and Chairman, House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development, has felicitated Muslims in Ibadan North Constituency 1, Oyo State, Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Adha celebration.

As part of activities marking the Ileya celebration, Hon. Comforter also distributed rams and food items to Muslim faithful, party supporters and residents across the constituency to support them during the festive season.

In her Sallah message made available to journalists through her media team on Thursday, Hon. Comforter rejoiced with the Muslim Ummah for witnessing another Eid-el-Adha celebration, urging them to continue to uphold the virtues of sacrifice, love, peace, tolerance and obedience as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.

The lawmaker, who is also the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate representing Ibadan North Constituency 1 ahead of the 2027 general election, called on residents to use the festive period to pray for peace, unity, security and socio-economic progress in Oyo State and Nigeria at large.

She specifically urged Muslim faithful to use the sacred period to pray for improved security across Oyo State and Nigeria, particularly for the safe release of the Oriire Local Government abductees currently in the custody of kidnappers.

Hon. Comforter equally encouraged constituents and Nigerians not to lose hope in the nation, stressing that collective efforts, prayers and responsible leadership would continue to move the country forward.

She further appealed to residents to celebrate in moderation, extend love to the less privileged and maintain peaceful coexistence during and after the Ileya festivities.

While wishing all Muslim faithful a joyous and peaceful Eid-el-Adha celebration, Hon. Comforter reaffirmed her commitment to the welfare, empowerment and development of the people of Ibadan North Constituency 1.

“May this sacred celebration bring peace, blessings, happiness and prosperity to every home. Eid Mubarak,” she stated.
