The lawmaker representing Atisbo/Saki-East State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Saminu Riliwan Gbadamosi, has expressed deep concern and heartfelt sympathy over the recent abduction incident involving pupils and members of the Oriire Local Government community in Oyo State.

In a statement made available to journalists, the lawmaker described the incident as painful, disturbing and unfortunate, noting that such acts threaten the peace, safety and emotional wellbeing of innocent citizens, particularly school children and their families.
Hon. Wale Canada, who is also the consensus third-term candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Atisbo/Saki-East State Constituency, extended his sincere condolences and solidarity to the victims, their parents, guardians and the entire Oriire Local Government community, praying for the safe return and quick reunification of all affected persons with their loved ones.

He further commended the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, alongside security agencies and the Oyo State Government, for their prompt intervention and coordinated response efforts aimed at addressing the situation and ensuring the safety of residents.


According to him, the swift actions taken by the state government demonstrate responsible leadership and a strong commitment to the protection of lives and property across the state.


The lawmaker also called on security agencies to intensify ongoing rescue operations and strengthen surveillance mechanisms across vulnerable communities and educational institutions to prevent future occurrences.

Hon. Wale Canada urged residents to remain calm, law-abiding and cooperative with security authorities, stressing that collective vigilance and timely information sharing remain essential in combating insecurity.

He reaffirmed his continued support for every initiative geared towards safeguarding communities, protecting educational institutions and promoting lasting peace and stability across Oyo State.
