Agbajowo Movement, a fast-growing socio-political movement committed to the vision of a Greater Oyo State and inspired by the remarkable leadership template of Governor Seyi Makinde, has officially declared its readiness for the much-anticipated Unity Mega Rally scheduled to hold tomorrow, 14th May 2026, at the iconic Mapo Hall.

Speaking with newsmen ahead of the epoch-making gathering, the Convener of the movement, Prince Adeyemo Adedeji Ola, disclosed that extensive mobilization efforts and strategic engagements have already been concluded across the 33 Local Government Areas of Oyo State to ensure massive participation of volunteers and supporters of good governance.

According to him, the rally represents more than a political gathering, describing it as a strong symbol of unity, continuity, progressive governance, and collective responsibility towards the future of Oyo State.

“This is another defining moment in the democratic journey of our dear state. It is a gathering that reflects the hopes, aspirations, and shared commitment of people who genuinely desire sustainable development, political stability, and continued good governance in Oyo State,” he stated.

Prince Ola further noted that the growing acceptance of the Agbajowo Movement across communities in the state is a reflection of the people’s belief in unity, collaboration, and purposeful leadership. He explained that the movement remains committed to supporting every genuine effort aimed at preserving the developmental strides already recorded under the present administration.

He praised the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde for setting a commendable governance standard through infrastructural development, institutional reforms, workers’ welfare, expansion of economic opportunities, and people-centered policies that continue to positively impact residents across the state.

According to him, the current momentum within the state has further strengthened the resolve of progressive-minded individuals and groups to work collectively towards sustaining the gains of democratic governance and ensuring that Oyo State continues to advance on the path of prosperity and stability.

Prince Ola also revealed that immediately after the Unity Mega Rally, the Agbajowo Movement would commence the next phase of its strategic engagements, grassroots consultations, community-based activities, and volunteer-driven mobilization efforts across the state.

He stressed that the movement’s vision remains centered on strengthening civic participation, promoting political inclusion, encouraging youth involvement in governance, and supporting every initiative capable of moving Oyo State forward.

“Our mission is clear, to contribute meaningfully towards ensuring that Oyo State does not return to the old order but continues on the path of responsible leadership, peace, development, and people-oriented governance,” he added.

The movement therefore called on its volunteers, supporters, and stakeholders across the state to turn out massively for the rally and assemble at the designated convergence points for briefing, coordination, logistics, and other necessary preparations ahead of the event.
