The Executive Chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government, Hon. Kehinde Akande, has congratulated Hon. Abayomi Fagbenro and Prince Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi on their recent appointments by Governor Seyi Makinde.

Honourable Abayomi Fagbenro was named Special Adviser on Security, while Arowosaye was appointed Board Chairman of the Pacesetter Mineral Development Company.
According to a statement released to the press on Tuesday, Akande noted that the appointments underscored the duo’s proven track record and commitment to advancing Oyo State.

“Mr. Fagbenro’s experience in security matters will be an asset in consolidating the administration’s efforts to sustain peace and protect lives and property across the state,” he said.

On Arowosaye’s appointment, the council chairman noted that the mineral sector remains critical to the state’s economic diversification drive.

“I have no doubt that Prince Arowosaye will bring his wealth of experience to bear in repositioning the Pacesetter Mineral Development Company for greater productivity and revenue generation,” Akande stated.

He urged the appointees to justify the confidence reposed in them by delivering on their mandates and working closely with stakeholders at the grassroots.

The appointments form part of Governor Makinde’s recent round of appointments aimed at strengthening governance ahead of the 2027 elections.
