Ibadan South West Local Government chairmanship hopeful, Alhaji Hassan Bello, has congratulated Mr. Abayomi Fagbenro on his appointment as Special Adviser on Security to Governor Seyi Makinde, and Prince Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi on his appointment as Board Chairman of the Pacesetter Mineral Development Company.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Bello described the appointments as well-deserved recognitions of capacity, loyalty, and service to Oyo State. He said the selections reflect Governor Makinde’s commitment to placing experienced and trusted hands in strategic positions.
“Hon. Abayomi Fagbenro has consistently demonstrated competence and dedication in matters of security and public safety. His appointment will strengthen the administration’s efforts to maintain peace and stability across the state,” Bello said.

He also commended the appointment of Prince Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi, noting that his experience positions him to drive the mandate of the Pacesetter Mineral Development Company in line with the state’s economic diversification agenda.

“The mineral sector holds significant potential for job creation and revenue generation for Oyo State. With Prince Arowosaye at the helm, I am confident that the company will deliver on its mandate effectively,” he added.

Bello urged the appointees to continue serving with integrity and to work closely with stakeholders at the grassroots to ensure that the benefits of government policies reach the people.

Both appointments were announced recently as part of Governor Makinde’s ongoing restructuring to strengthen governance and service delivery ahead of the 2027 election cycle.
