From Public Finance to Power Play: Adekanmbi Storms Ibadan with Bold Ideas, Strengthens Grip as Top Oyo Governorship Contender

All eyes are on Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi as he prepares to headline the 2026 Distinguished Public Lecture Series of the Faculty of Financial Management Studies (FFMS), The Polytechnic, Ibadan, scheduled for Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

The event, which will take place at 11:00 a.m. inside the CIBN Bankers Hall of the institution, is already generating conversations within academic, financial, and political circles—largely due to the personality of the guest lecturer and the relevance of the topic to Nigeria’s current realities.

Hon. Adekanmbi, a respected finance professional and member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), will speak on “Removing Bottlenecks & Enhancing the Public Trust in Public Finance.” The lecture forms part of a broader theme, “Public Finance & Budgeting: Restoring the Public Confidence,” a subject many believe is both timely and urgent.
