Hon. Razaq Mabaje, a member of the Oyo State House of Assembly representing Ido State Constituency, has publicly distanced himself from reports regarding an alleged plot to impeach Governor Seyi Makinde.

In a statement released to journalists in Ibadan, Mabaje clarified that he had no knowledge of any such plans prior to recent viral news and firmly denied attending any meetings where impeachment strategies were discussed.
Mabaje emphasized his dedication to constitutional governance and the political stability of Oyo State, firmly rejecting any allegations that he had received financial incentives to support the impeachment rumor.

He stated, “At no point was I offered or did I accept money to participate in any impeachment arrangement. These reports only serve to create unnecessary tension within our political space, and I urge the public to remain vigilant.”

The lawmaker reaffirmed his loyalty to the leadership of the Assembly and his commitment to working collaboratively with the executive arm under Governor Makinde to ensure the delivery of democratic benefits to his constituents.
