In the spirit of the Easter celebration, Professor Dahud Kehinde Sangodoyin has brought joy to persons with disabilities (PWDs) across all local government areas in Ibadan through a generous outreach initiative.

The leading Oyo State governorship aspirant on Monday distributed bags of rice to beneficiaries, with representatives drawn from each local government area in the city.
The event, which had five delegates representing each council area, witnessed an atmosphere of excitement, gratitude, and celebration among attendees.

Speaking at the event, the representative of Professor Sangodoyin said the gesture was aimed at ensuring that persons with disabilities are not left out of the Easter festivities, enabling them to celebrate comfortably in their various homes.

“This is a season of love and compassion. It is important that we share what we have and ensure that everyone, especially persons living with disabilities, feel the joy of Easter,” he said.

He further assured the gathering of his commitment to doing more for vulnerable groups if elected as the Governor of Oyo State.

The initiative was widely applauded by beneficiaries, who described the intervention as timely and impactful.
Pastor Francis Akande, who represented Ibadan North Local Government, expressed deep appreciation for the kind gesture and offered prayers for the realization of Professor Sangodoyin’s aspirations.
Similarly, Mrs Afusat Olajide, representing the deaf community in Ibadan North; Mrs Opeyemi Oriyomi Abioye from Ona-Ara Local Government; Mr Oluyinka from Ido Local Government; and Mrs Saudat from Akinyele Local Government, alongside others, commended the initiative.
They emphasized that the distribution of food items came at a crucial time, noting that it would go a long way in supporting their households during the Easter celebration.

The event concluded on a joyful note, with beneficiaries expressing hope for continued support and inclusion in future initiatives.
