The Executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians across Ona Ara Local Government and beyond, urging them to embrace the virtues of love, sacrifice, hope, and renewed faith which the season represents.
In his Easter message made available to newsmen, Dr. GLORIOUS described the celebration of Easter as a sacred reminder of the triumph of life over death, light over darkness, and hope over despair through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
According to him, Easter is not only a period of spiritual reflection for Christians, but also a time for all citizens to recommit themselves to peaceful coexistence, unity, compassion, and service to humanity.
“As Christians all over the world celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, I heartily felicitate with all faithful in Ona Ara Local Government and beyond. Easter is a season that reminds us of the power of sacrifice, humility, love, and the victory of hope over hopelessness,” he said.
The Council Chairman called on residents of Ona Ara to use the solemn occasion to pray for sustained peace, progress, and development in the local government, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large.
Dr. GLORIOUS further reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering people-oriented governance and sustaining developmental strides across the council area in line with his vision for a better and more prosperous Ona Ara.
He also encouraged citizens to celebrate responsibly, extend hands of kindness to the less privileged, and continue to support the government’s efforts toward community growth and social harmony.
The Chairman prayed that the joy, peace, and blessings of the resurrection season would abide with every home and usher in renewed grace and abundant blessings for all.
