Honourable Kehinde Adeyemi Akande, Executive Chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government, has distributed motorcycles to Ward Chairmen and party loyalists, complementing Governor Seyi Makinde’s welfare initiatives. This move aims to boost grassroots mobilization and party development in the local government area, as part of the state government’s ongoing efforts.

At today’s event at the LG secretariat, Akande described Governor Seyi Makinde as a world-class leader, highlighting his significant contributions to Oyo State’s growth through remarkable developments and achievements. He cited the distribution of motorcycles to all 33 Local Governments as a prime example, aimed at boosting party growth and community development.

The Council boss further explained that the initiative aims to boost mobility, coordination, and engagement at the ward level, strengthening the party’s presence and efficiency across communities. Akande thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for his commitment to grassroots development and inclusive governance, saying the gesture shows his dedication to empowering local party structures.

The Chairman emphasized that the motorcycle distribution is about more than just vehicles, it’s about strengthening community ties, improving service delivery, and keeping the party active and responsive in every ward. He urged beneficiaries to use the motorcycles responsibly, as tools for service and outreach, and to step up efforts in mobilizing support, sharing government policies, and promoting unity in their wards.

Akande encouraged everyone to register with the Independent National Electoral Commission to vote for their preferred candidates in the upcoming elections. He also urged them to attend party meetings regularly and work harder to ensure PDP members secure top positions in the state, ensuring continuity.

Ward 5 Chairman, Mr Nurudeen Alade, thanked Governor Seyi Makinde and the Local Government Chairman for the motorcycles, promising to use them responsibly to drive party interests and boost development in Ibadan South West Local Government.

The event was attended by key officials, including Vice Chairman Alhaji Tajudeen Adeniyi Adigun, Leader of the House Hon Adewale Adelodun, Councillors, Chief of Staff Alhaji Abolaji Hassan, Supervisory Councillors, Special Assistants, Acting Head of Administration Sanitarian Idowu Patric, Directors, Deputies, and Unit Heads.
