The Turaki Adini of Oyo State and Mogaji of Adanla family, Engr. Abduljelyl Adekunle Karheem MCIArb, MCIOB, MCABE, has issued a heartfelt appeal to the Muslim faithful, urging them to embrace love, understanding, and peaceful co-existence in their daily lives, as Muslims worldwide celebrate Eid al-Fitr, marking the joyous end of the holy month of Ramadan.

Adanla, the CEO of Afia Group, made this call in a press statement on Friday, emphasising that the true essence of Eid extends beyond mere celebration.
“Ramadan has taught us invaluable lessons in discipline, empathy, and selflessness,” he stated.

“Now, as we celebrate Eid al-Fitr, it is imperative that we carry these virtues forward, fostering an environment of love, compassion, and unity within our communities and beyond.”

Adanla highlighted the importance of extending goodwill not only to fellow Muslims but to people of all faiths.
“Islam is a religion of peace,” he declared. “We must demonstrate this through our actions, building bridges of understanding and respect with our Christian brothers and sisters, and indeed, with every individual, regardless of their beliefs.”

The prominent Islamic leader and philanthropist further called on Muslims to reflect on the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), which consistently advocate for harmonious living.

He stressed the need for dialogue, tolerance, and mutual respect as fundamental pillars for a thriving society.
“Let this Eid be a catalyst for renewed commitment to peace,” Engr. Adanla urged. “Let us commit to resolving our differences amicably, to support one another, and to work collectively towards a society where love triumphs over hatred, and peace reigns supreme.”
Adanla’s message resonated widely, reflecting a shared desire for unity and tranquillity across Ibadan, Oyo State, and Nigeria.
His influential position as the Wakil Faido Tijaniyyah of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta states, and the Giwa Adini of Offa (Kwara State) further amplifies his call for peace.
