The Ona-Ara Local Government has recorded another significant milestone with the successful delivery and commissioning of the remodeled Ona-Ara Local Government Secretariat, marking a key achievement in the administration’s commitment to institutional renewal and improved service delivery.

The project, which formed part of activities commemorating the first 100 days in office of the Executive Chairman, was officially commissioned on September 12, 2024.
The commissioning ceremony was performed by the Okanlomo Oodua and Asiwaju of Ona Ara Local Government, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, who commended the leadership of the local government for prioritizing infrastructural development and creating a conducive environment for effective governance.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including the representative of the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, as well as the Chairman of Association of Local Governments of Oyo State (ALGOS), Hon. Sikiru Sanda, alongside political leaders, community stakeholders, and staff of the local government.


Speaking at the event, stakeholders described the remodeled secretariat as a symbol of administrative transformation and a renewed commitment to efficient public service in Ona-Ara Local Government.
The development reflects the resolve of the current administration to reposition the local government system through infrastructural upgrades that will enhance productivity, staff welfare, and the overall delivery of democratic dividends to the people.

The remodeled secretariat now provides a more functional and befitting workspace for civil servants and visitors, reinforcing the council’s vision of a responsive and people-centered administration.
