Hon. Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola Olawale, commissioner for public works and transport is set to host the 5th Ramadan Lecture, themed “Peace – A Social Responsibility:

 

 

 

The Islamic Perspective”, on March 7, 2026, at Desef Events Centre, Opp. Taska Filling Station, Akala Way. The event will feature Sheikh Daud Yusuf Alawiye as the guest speaker.

 

 

 

 

 

The lecture will bring together prominent Islamic scholars, chief imams, and royal fathers, including His Excellency Barr. Abdulraheem Bayo Lawal, Deputy Governor of Oyo State, and His Eminence Sheikh Abdulganiy Abubakri Acbotomokekere, Grand Iman of Oyo State.

 

 

 

 

 

Hon. Olawale emphasized the importance of peace in Islam, highlighting its role in fostering unity and social responsibility.

 

 

 

 

The event aims to promote understanding and collective effort towards achieving peace in society.

 

 

 

 

 

The event is open to the public. All are invited to attend and participate in this discussion on peace and social responsibility.
