Itesiwaju Local Government APC elects Kayode Adeniji Chairman,Olakunle James Secretary.

The All Progressives Congress(APC) in Itesiwaju Local Government of Oyo State has elected Hon Kayode Adeniji,a former Vice Chairman of the council area as Chairman of the party.

The party also elected Hon Adekunle Olakunle James as the Secretary of the party. He was a councillor on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) before recently decamping to the APC.

Among the dignatories who attended the Congress were former Chief Whip of the Senate,Senator Hosea Agboola Hallelluyah, former Chief of Staff to the Goveror of Oyo State and former Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission(NCC), Professor Adeolu Akande, and former Secreatary of the party in Oyo State, Hon. Dele Akinleye.

Also in attendance were four former Chairmen of Itesiwaju Local Government namely Hon Supo Olayode, Hon Jacob Ipadeola Adeniji, Hon Olarinre Adisa Adeniji and Hon Ojo Akintola.

Others included Surveyor John Olaribigbe Shiyanbola, Chairman of the Leadership Caucus of the party in the council area and party elder, Chief Mustapha Zakariyau.

Also in attendance were Hon. Femi Durodola and Hon Dejo Adebisi, both former Senior Special Assistants to the Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.

Former chairmen of the party in the local government including Hon. Jimoh Amuda, Hon Sikirulai Osuolale Awoleye and Hon Hosea Oladosu were also in attendance.

The party also set up a reconciliation committee to address issues arising from the ward and local government congresses in the quest to forge a united front ahead of the 2027 elections.

The party members passed a resolution to return the highest number of votes ever recorded in the council area for the.return of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 election.
