As Muslims all over the world set for the 30 days divine exercise, the National Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has felicitated the Muslim Ummah on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan, describing the holy month as “a period of spiritual reawakening.”
Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, in a statement issued by his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim and made available to journalists said Ramadan is a period to seek the face of God and empower oneself on the path of Allah for divine mercy, favour and grace.
“I, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja join all Muslim faithful in Oyo State and Nigeria as they welcome this blessed month of revival, forgiveness and mercy.
“This is the much-awaited month when our desires and longing for the Almighty God are expected to be fulfilled.
I enjoin all Muslims that will partake in the month long fast to abstain from all forms of act that are forbidden during Ramadan and also call on the people of Oyo State to use the period to seek divine support for the ongoing good governance transformation in Oyo State under our able leader, Governor Seyi Makinde.
May the Almighty God bless us, provide for us all and answer our prayers and supplications throughout the Ramadan fast,” he said.
