The Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government, Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade, has extended heartfelt greetings to both Muslim and Christian faithful as they commence their respective seasons of fasting.

In his message, the Chairman described this unique period as a special moment of spiritual reflection, self-discipline, and renewed commitment to God. He noted that it is a rare blessing for both religions to observe fasting around the same time, calling it a powerful symbol of unity, faith, and shared values within the community.
Hon. George Ogunlade urged residents of Ogbomoso North to use the fasting period to pray for peace, security, and sustainable development across the local government and Oyo State at large. He emphasized the importance of love, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence among people of different faiths.

“Fasting teaches sacrifice, humility, and compassion. It reminds us to care for the less privileged and to seek God’s guidance in all we do,” he stated.

The Chairman prayed that God Almighty accepts the prayers and sacrifices of both Muslim and Christian faithful, granting the land continued progress, harmony, and prosperity.
He concluded by wishing everyone a spiritually fulfilling season.
