Residents of Ayegun-Oleyo in Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State have commended the Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Senator Yunus Akintunde, for the ongoing 17-kilometre road project in the community.

The residents described Senator Akintunde as a “talk and do” lawmaker whose actions have matched his promises. According to them, the deplorable state of the road had, for years, caused untold hardship, forcing many families and business owners to relocate from the area due to poor accessibility.

They noted that transportation challenges, increased vehicle maintenance costs, and difficulty in accessing markets and essential services had negatively affected their socio-economic activities. However, with the intervention of Senator Akintunde, hope has been restored to the community.

Community leaders and stakeholders expressed gratitude to the senator for prioritizing infrastructure development, stating that the road project will not only ease movement but also boost commercial activities and improve the overall standard of living in Ayegun-Oleyo and its environs.

The residents also extended their appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his continued support for infrastructural development across the country, acknowledging the federal government’s role in making such projects a reality.

They assured the senator and the president of their continued support, while praying for the successful completion of the project for the benefit of all.
