Hon. Babatunde George Ige Commends Gov. Makinde on Successful Oyo @50 Anniversary, Congratulates Indigenes

Hon. Babatunde George Ige has lauded the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for the successful hosting of the Oyo State @50 Golden Jubilee Anniversary, describing the celebration as well-organised, symbolic, and reflective of the state’s rich history and progressive future.

In a congratulatory message made available to the press, Hon. Ige applauded Governor Makinde’s leadership and vision, noting that the anniversary went beyond festivities to showcase Oyo State’s achievements, resilience, cultural heritage, and developmental strides over the past five decades.

According to him, the governor’s commitment to inclusive governance and people-oriented policies has continued to place Oyo State on a steady path of growth, unity, and sustainable development.

“The Oyo @50 celebration is not just a remembrance of our past, but a strong statement of hope and direction for the future. I commend His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for providing purposeful leadership and for ensuring that the golden jubilee truly reflects the pride and aspirations of Oyo people,” Hon. Ige stated.

Hon. Babatunde George Ige also congratulated all indigenes and residents of Oyo State, home and in the diaspora, urging them to remain united and supportive of the current administration’s efforts to build a stronger, more prosperous state.
