The Chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government, Honourable Kehinde Akande, has launched a health outreach program to commemorate Oyo State’s 50th anniversary celebrations. The medical outreach programme provided essential healthcare services to residents, particularly vulnerable groups such as the elderly, women, and low-income earners.
The health outreach offers services including blood pressure and blood sugar checks, malaria testing and treatment, eye screening, and general medical advice. Beneficiaries also receive education on preventive healthcare practices and lifestyle management.
This initiative aligns with Governor Seyi Makinde’s vision of building strong institutions and improving social services. The Oyo State government has been conducting health outreaches across all 33 local government areas as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations, focusing on improving life expectancy and boosting productivity among residents.
