As Oyo State marks its golden jubilee, a prominent public affairs commentator and philanthropist, Olusina Ogunsola, fondly known as Omo Obasanjo, has extended warm greetings to the government and good people of the Pace Setter State.

Ogunsola described the 50-year milestone as a moment of deep reflection on the resilience, cultural heritage, and progressive spirit that have defined Oyo State since its creation.
He noted that the anniversary presents an opportunity to honour past leaders and patriots whose sacrifices laid the foundation for the state’s enduring legacy.

Commending the present administration, Olusina Ogunsola lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for what he described as pacesetting achievements across critical sectors, including infrastructure development, education reform, healthcare delivery, agribusiness, and improved workers’ welfare.

According to him, Governor Makinde’s people-centred leadership style has repositioned Oyo State as a model of good governance and accountability in Nigeria.
He further praised the governor’s commitment to inclusive growth, transparency, and sustainable development, stressing that these strides have restored public confidence in government and strengthened Oyo State’s status as a beacon of progress in the South-West and beyond.

As Oyo State clocks 50, Ogunsola urged residents to remain united, peaceful, and forward-looking, calling on all stakeholders to support policies and programmes that will deepen development and secure a prosperous future for generations yet unborn.

He concluded by wishing Oyo State many more years of growth, stability, and excellence, reaffirming his belief in the state’s boundless potential under purposeful leadership.
