The Honourable Member of the House of Representatives representing Afijio, Atiba, Oyo East and Oyo West Federal Constituency, Hon. Akeem Adeniyi Adeyemi (Skimeh), has empowered hundreds of constituents with various empowerment tools aimed at boosting economic growth and self-reliance across the constituency.
The empowerment programme, held yesterday, witnessed the distribution of key items to beneficiaries, including:
– 100 Laptops
– 180 Industrial Sewing Machines
– 150 Grinding Machines
– 100 Industrial Cookers
– 100 Deep Freezers
– 50 Dryers
– 2 Tractors
Speaking at the event, Hon. Adeyemi reaffirmed his commitment to improving the livelihoods of his constituents and ensuring sustainable development within the federal constituency. He noted that the empowerment initiative was designed to support youths, women, artisans, and small-scale entrepreneurs.
The lawmaker used the opportunity to commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (Asiwaju) for his leadership style, transparency, and commitment to national development. He also praised the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and party stakeholders for their continuous support and guidance.
Furthermore, Hon. Adeyemi paid glowing tributes to the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade, and other traditional rulers in Oyo land for their roles in promoting peace, unity, and cultural values across the state.
The empowerment programme was well attended by party leaders, community stakeholders, traditional rulers, and beneficiaries, who expressed gratitude for the lawmaker’s people-oriented initiatives.
