“Wherever Makinde Goes, We Go” — OTOPE Addresses Egbeda–Ona Ara Supporters Amid 2027 Political Realignments

Amid the growing wave of political alignments, defections, and realignments across Oyo State and the country at large, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and President of the OTOPE Foundation, Hon. (Dr.) Temitope Oladimeji, popularly known as OTOPE, has reaffirmed his unshaken loyalty to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde.

Dr. Oladimeji, who also serves as the Director-General, Liaison Offices for Abuja and Lagos, made his position known through a press statement issued on Tuesday morning in Ibadan by his Special Assistant on Media and Communication, Mr. Segun Akinlabi.

In the statement, OTOPE dismissed speculations surrounding his political stance, declaring that his allegiance to Governor Makinde remains firm and irreversible, regardless of ongoing political movements within and outside the PDP.

“My stand still remains the same. Wherever Seyi Makinde goes, we go,” OTOPE stated, reaffirming his political alignment and loyalty to the governor.

He further emphasized that his position reflects not only his personal conviction but also the collective resolve of his supporters across Egbeda–Ona Ara Federal Constituency and Oyo State at large.

According to the statement, OTOPE described Governor Makinde as a leader whose governance style, infrastructural strides, people-oriented policies, and commitment to inclusive development have earned him genuine grassroots support and trust.

The PDP chieftain urged his followers and political associates to remain calm, focused, and united, stressing that loyalty, consistency, and credibility remain the pillars of sustainable political engagement.

Observers note that OTOPE’s declaration comes at a critical time when political actors are reassessing alliances ahead of future electoral contests, making his firm stance a significant signal within the Oyo political landscape.

Dr. Oladimeji, a well-known philanthropist and grassroots mobiliser, has continued to leverage the OTOPE Foundation to impact lives across Egbeda–Ona Ara Federal Constituency, further strengthening his political influence and connection with the people.
