The Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Asiwaju Akeem Olatunji, has congratulated the Oyo State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr Wasiu Olatubosun, and the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Broadcast Media, Mrs. Abosede Sodiq, on the occasion of their coincided birthday anniversary.

In a congratulatory message made available to journalists on Sunday, Olatunji said the roles of the duo in the present administration reflect Governor Makinde’s preference for competence, loyalty, and capacity to deliver.
“These strategic roles in this government are a clear demonstration of the governor’s belief in proven ability to deliver.

“They have shown time and time again through their works that this administration enjoys premium value on service, experience, and results.”


Commenting on the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, the Oluyole LG chairman said the ministry plays a strategic role in the state’s development vision, particularly in harnessing culture and tourism for economic growth.
“Oyo State is richly blessed with history, culture, and tourism potential. Dr Olatubosun’s impressive works have repositioned the ministry to drive economic activities, create jobs, and project the state positively to the world.
“I am confident the commissioner will continue to bring more innovation and focus to this important ministry that has earned Oyo state global reckoning,” Olatunji said.

The Council boss also praised the Senior Special Assistant on Broadcast Media, for her professionalism, versatility and deep knowledge of how government and the media work more collaboratively to achieve effective communication that properly transmits policies, initiatives, and intents to the public.
He maintained that effective communication remains the cornerstone of transparent governance in any administration, stressing that Mrs. Sodiq has continued to carry out her duties seamlessly in that regard.
“Good governance thrives on clear and consistent communication. The SSA on Broadcast Media has been at the forefront of one of the most critical roles in this administration to ensure that government policies, programmes, and achievements are properly communicated to the people, and I believe this trust justified is already justified,” Olatunji added.
The council chairman stated that both appointees of the governor have discharged their duties with professionalism and a strong sense of public responsibility.
“I have no doubt that they will continue to contribute meaningfully to the success of Governor Makinde’s administration,” Olatunji noted.
He reaffirmed the commitment of Oluyole Local Government to collaborating with the state government’s development agenda and wished the two appointees a successful and more impactful years ahead.
