Oyo State APC Unity Rally: Akintunde Envisions Landslide Victory In 2027

The Distinguished Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Senator Yunus Akintunde has assured the All Progressive Congress, APC party faithful of a resounding victory for the party in the forthcoming 2027 general elections in view of the cooperation, collaboration and unity evident amongst the critical stakeholders, the leaders and the rank and file of the party, evident in planning and execution of the Unity Rally programmes which had brought everyone working together again.

Speaking at the Egbeda/ Ona Ara APC Unity Rally, Akintunde expressed confidence that the road is now clear for the APC to return the progressives to the leadership of Oyo State and to align the Pacesetter State with the Federal Government under the leadership of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He said, “We are approaching the 2027 general elections with the spirit of synergy, fairness, equity, love, collective responsibility and absolute determination to win at all levels.

We are confident of victory by the grace of God, and we are leaving nothing to chance. All hands are on deck, having drawn valuable lessons from past experiences”.

The Oyo State APC Unity Rally, brainchild of the Oyo State Renewed Hope Ambassadors under the leadership of Senator Teslim Folarin, the Agba Akin of Ibadanland, had been held in Oyo, Ogbomosho, Iseyin, Igboora and Akinyele before being brought to Asolo in Egbeda/ Ona Ara Federal Constituency. The Oluyole Federal Constituency APC Unity Rally was slated for later the same day.

The Oyo State APC Unity Rally, which is essentially an open air meeting of party leaders and critical stakeholders with the members of the party was designed for a dual purpose; firstly, to deliver President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s message of unity to all and sundry in the party and to demonstrate that unity and a new shared sense of purpose to the lowest levels of the party. Secondly, the unity rally programmes serve as an opportunity for party members to voice their willingness have Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the sole candidate of the APC in the 2027 presidential elections. To this end, at every APC Unity Rally, motions were moved by designated party leaders, seconded and supported by all.

Senator Akintunde in his participation at the rally joined Senator Teslim Folarin, Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle, Mrs Florence Ajimobi, Chief Bayo Adelabu, Senator Sharafadeen Ali, Senator Fatai Buhari, Senator Lanlehin, Senator Ayo Adeseun, Senator Hosea Agboola, Hon Akin Alabi, Hon Akinmoyede Olafioye Hon Akeem Adeyemi, Hon Olusegun Odebunmi, Barr Akeem Agbaje, Dr Muyiwa Gbadegesin, Prof Adeola Akande, and other party leaders and critical stakeholders, as well as members of the APC to affirm the collective willingness to work together in unity towards the party’s success in future elections and to affirm the sole presidential candidacy of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 general elections.
