WIFE OF IBSWLG CHAIRMAN WELCOMES FIRST BABY OF THE YEAR 

In her bid to compliment the good deeds of Oyo first lady, the wife of Executive Governor of Oyo State, her excellency Engr Tamunominini Makinde in celebrating mothers and new born babies of the year, the Chairperson of Ibadan South West Local Government, Oluyole Estate, Ibadan, chief Mrs Mojoyinola Akande has welcomed and received the first baby of the year with presentation of numerous gifts items and cash for both mother and the newborn at Adifase health centre of the Council area

The baby girl which was born to the family of Mr Idris and Mrs Sukurat Olanrewaju on Friday,January 2nd, 2026 at 11.47 pm

Chief Mrs Mojoyinola Akande while welcoming the new born to the world and congratulating the parents said children are the gift of God , and we are glad to receive the gift of God in our council area. She then urged her parents to take good care of the infant , train her in the way of the Lord and make sure they provide for all her needs

Speaking further she encouraged all mothers to be closer to their children, be their friends and make sure they protect them from any act which could jeopardize their future

Also, chairperson noted that every marriage has its ups and down but women should always stand firm to protect their children and never discriminate among them.

She therefore prayed fervently for the new born to fulfill purpose in life as well as all the children of the council area, Oyo state and Nigeria as a whole.

The MCH of Ibadan South West LG, matron Olanike Adeleke and the officer in charge of Adifase Health Centre Mrs Adeyemo Oladehinde in their separate remarks congratulate the families of the new born baby and appreciated the chairperson for her kind gesture towards the family of the new born baby.

Mrs Sukurat Olanrewaju, the mother of the new born in her response shows heart of gratitude to chief Mrs Mojoyinola Akande and prayed for success in her future endeavours.
