Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Dr. Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has assured constituents of increased dividends of democracy in 2026, promising intensified efforts in employment facilitation and constituency development.

Hon. Adepoju gave the assurance on Thursday, January 1, 2026, in a New Year message to the people of Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North, commending their resilience and perseverance despite prevailing socio-economic challenges.
According to the federal lawmaker, the year 2026 would mark a period of rekindled hope, improved opportunities and the realisation of long-held aspirations across the federal constituency.

“The strength, patience and determination of our people remain our greatest asset. I am confident that 2026 will be a year when many dreams will turn into reality,” he said.

The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character also reassured graduates across the five communities that make up the constituency of expanded employment opportunities, revealing that over 150 constituents secured federal government job opportunities between 2023 and 2025.
He expressed optimism that the figure would more than double in the new year, stressing his commitment to sustained advocacy and engagement with relevant federal agencies.
“This year, we will continue to empower our constituents across all professions and vocations, regardless of their craft or background. Our commitment remains focused on creating opportunities that enhance skills, promote economic growth and improve livelihoods, while expanding initiatives that support education, entrepreneurship, youth development and social welfare.

“We are strongly determined to ensure that every segment of the constituency feels the positive impact of effective representation and good governance,” Hon. Adepoju said.
The lawmaker also lauded the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for what he described as consistent performance across critical sectors of the state’s economy, pledging the continued support of the people of Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North for the governor’s administration in 2026 and beyond.
Ibarapakan further appreciated the Chairmen of Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Local Government Areas, traditional rulers in the region as well as religious leaders, urging them to remain steadfast in providing leadership amid the economic hardships facing the country.
The lawmaker extended New Year greetings to the leadership and members of the Peoples’m Democratic Party (PDP) at the local, state and national levels.
He described the PDP as “a party to beat,” emphasising unity, fairness and collective purpose as its enduring strengths, while offering prayers for peace and progress within the party.
